BuilderSolve, Inc. ("BuilderSolve," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website, mobile applications, and construction management platform (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

• Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, company name, job title, and password when you create an account.
• Project Data: Job details, estimates, schedules, daily logs, financial records, crew information, client contacts, and other data you enter into the platform.
• Payment Information: Billing address and payment details processed through our secure third-party payment processor. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
• Communications: Messages, files, and content you share through our chat feature, support requests, and correspondence with us.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, actions taken, time and date of access, and referring URLs.
• Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device identifiers, IP address, and screen resolution.
• Website analytics: Page addresses, referring sites, campaign tags, a coarse device type and a per-visit identifier held in your browser's session storage. First-party only — no advertising or third-party tracking scripts, and nothing recorded at all if your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. See Section 6.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Process transactions and send related information
• Send technical notices, updates, security alerts, and administrative messages
• Respond to your comments, questions, and support requests
• Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve user experience
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity
• Comply with legal obligations

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: With third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf (hosting, analytics, payment processing, customer support).
• Within Your Organization: With other members of your company account as configured by your administrator.
• With Your Consent: When you direct us to share information with third parties, such as QuickBooks for accounting integration.
• Legal Requirements: When required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property.
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case your information would be transferred as a business asset.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

• Encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest
• Role-based access controls, with permissions scoped per company and per project
• Automated backups on a recurring schedule
• Infrastructure operated by hosting and storage providers that maintain SOC 2 Type II compliance for the services they provide

Our Security page sets out these measures in more detail, including the certifications BuilderSolve does not currently hold.

While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. After account termination, we retain data for up to 90 days before permanent deletion, unless a longer retention period is required by law. You may request earlier deletion by contacting us.

6. Cookies & Website Analytics

This website does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. We do not load Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or any other third-party tracking script on buildersolve.com.

The website measures its own traffic, first-party. When you open a page we record the page address, the site that referred you, any campaign tags in the link you followed, a coarse device type (phone, tablet or desktop) derived from your browser's user-agent string, and a randomly generated identifier that groups the pages of a single visit together. That identifier is stored in your browser's session storage, is not a cookie, is not linked to you, and is discarded when you close the tab. We do not record your IP address against a pageview.

Opting out. If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal, we do not record your visit at all. Nothing else on the site changes — forms and pages work exactly the same.

If you choose to submit an enquiry form, we store what you entered along with the referral and campaign information for that visit, so we know which of our pages the enquiry came from. That is covered by Section 1 and Section 4.

Browser storage we use on this website, none of which is an advertising cookie:

• Local storage: your light or dark theme preference.
• Session storage: the visit identifier and referral details described above, cleared when you close the tab.

The signed-in application at app.buildersolve.com additionally uses cookies and storage that are strictly necessary for authentication, security and your account preferences. You can control browser storage through your browser settings; disabling it for the application may prevent you from staying signed in.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
• Opt out of marketing communications at any time

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and maintained on servers located outside your country of residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
